THE ROLE OF THEME AND REMA IN THE ACTUAL DIVISION OF A SENTENCE

Аннотация

The article aims to scientifically illuminate the linguistic nature of the categories of theme and rheme, their place in the actual division of the sentence, the process of historical formation of this theory, and the features of their expression. The study extensively analyzes the views formed within the framework of functional syntax, pragmalinguistics, and text linguistics. Also, the Prague Linguistic School, the Russian Functional School, and other linguistic approaches are studied comparatively.
