THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN ENHANCING ESL LEARNERS’ LANGUAGE SKILLS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article explores the role of digital technologies in enhancing the language skills of ESL (English as a Second Language) learners from a pedagogical and methodological perspective. With the rapid development of digital tools, technology has become an integral component of modern language education, offering new opportunities for improving learners’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The study examines how digital technologies such as mobile applications, online learning platforms, and multimedia resources contribute to increased learner engagement, personalized learning, and the development of autonomous learning skills. From the author’s perspective, the effective integration of digital technologies not only complements traditional teaching methods but also creates an interactive and learner-centered environment that supports meaningful language acquisition. The findings suggest that digital technologies, when used purposefully and systematically, significantly enhance ESL learners’ language proficiency and motivation, highlighting the necessity of their continued integration into ESL instruction.
