MEDIA AND SOCIETY: GENDER ISSUES AND MEDIA ANALYSIS

This article explores media and society through the lens of gender issues and media analysis using examples from Uzbek and Turkish media. It discusses the role of media in society—its function in informing the public about local and global events, its educational and moral influence, and its role in promoting social values, traditions, and spiritual outlooks. The article also analyzes how the media provides a platform for people to express opinions on various topics, contributes to the formation of social trends, disseminates culture, and acts as an intermediary in delivering diverse cultural traditions, films, music, and art to the public. Furthermore, the study highlights the significant—both positive and negative—impact of mass media on women and reveals the main aspects of this influence.
