Abstract
This study analyzes the fundamental principles of an effective tax system within the framework of sustainable economic development. It outlines how principles such as fairness, efficiency, simplicity, transparency, and fiscal adequacy contribute to building a balanced and growth-oriented tax structure. The research emphasizes the need for a tax policy that not only ensures sufficient revenue generation but also promotes environmental protection, social equity, and long-term economic stability. Special attention is given to the integration of green taxation mechanisms and inclusive fiscal strategies that align with sustainable development goals (SDGs). The paper also highlights international best practices and their relevance for developing economies.
