Abstract

This article analyzes the phenomenon of “invisible meaning” in Uzbek communication and the mechanisms through which pragmatic units create implicit information. The aim of the research is to determine how meanings that are not directly expressed in speech are formed through context, communicative intention, speech situation, interpersonal relations and national-cultural experience. The study uses descriptive, pragmalinguistic, contextual, semantic and linguocultural methods. The analysis shows that in Uzbek communication implicit information is often created through indirect expressions, politeness formulas, mitigating constructions, modal words, irony, address forms and silence. Such pragmatic units not only transmit information but also guide the addressee’s interpretation, soften communicative pressure, preserve social harmony and express respect. The results demonstrate that “invisible meaning” is closely connected with Uzbek speech etiquette, national mentality, tact, modesty and the desire to maintain the dignity of the interlocutor. The article concludes that implicit meaning is an important pragmatic layer of Uzbek communication and should be studied as a linguistic, cultural and communicative phenomenon.
